1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Folio, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Folio is a portfolio tracking dashboard for Nigerian Exchange (NGX) investors. It reads broker contract note PDFs you upload, tracks your holdings, calculates dividend eligibility, and displays live portfolio value using third-party market data. Folio is currently compatible with Meristem Stockbrokers accounts, including those opened through Meritrade.

3. Not Financial Advice

Folio is a tracking and information tool only. Nothing on Folio constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Portfolio values, dividend eligibility, and income projections are estimates based on available data and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any investment decision. Always do your own research or consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.

4. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at noreply@mail.ngxfolio.cc if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Subscription and Billing

Folio offers a free plan and a paid Premium plan. Premium is billed monthly (₦1,500) or annually (₦15,000) and processed through Paystack. Card payments are set up as recurring Paystack subscriptions: your card is charged automatically at each renewal period (monthly or annually) until you cancel. Bank transfer payments are one-off: they cover a single billing period and do not auto-renew, so you must make a new payment manually to continue your subscription. You can cancel a card subscription at any time; cancelling stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current billing period, and existing paid access continues until the end of the period you paid for. If a card renewal fails, access may not be renewed for the following period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at noreply@mail.ngxfolio.cc.

6. Data Accuracy

Stock prices, dividend dates, and dividend amounts displayed on Folio are sourced from third-party data providers on a best-effort basis. While we work to keep this data accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy, and Folio should not be your sole source of truth for time-sensitive financial decisions such as dividend qualification deadlines.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Folio for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Folio's systems, other users' accounts, or underlying infrastructure.
• Upload documents that are not genuinely your own broker contract notes.
• Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Folio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Folio and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including financial losses arising from investment decisions made using information displayed on the platform, or from missed dividend deadlines, data inaccuracies, or service downtime.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Folio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
